About the session
A key tenet of the ethics guidelines governing research is that research undertaken at RMIT has merit and the researchers, themselves, have integrity, particularly if other people are to be involved. This raises the question of who assesses research merit and integrity and on what basis. For example, is the confirmation of candidature process adequately assessing research merit and integrity or is it assumed that the University ethics committees are doing this? In this session a cross-disciplinary panel of speakers will address these issues and raise questions for further discussion.
